Car Fever 4

Story by : Patrick Alcancia  Photos : TEAM//SCP

[June 20 2004]

Montreal’s longest-running outdoor show ‘n shine and drag race went down at Napierreville Dragway for the fifth edition of Car Fever.

Aside from a stiff breeze, the conditions were ideal for racing. As usual, eye-candy ranged from Chris Nankoo’s crazy S10 “truck” to scantily clad models distributing promo material for show sponsors like Jap Tunings, Castrol and Blaupunkt.
Car Fever 5 signaled the debut of K Productions as event organizers, and despite the lack of experience, the show went off without a hitch. Parkway Team Performance brought along an inflatable pool for the flatbed of their GMC Sierra for the ladies to cool off in. Mike Politzos of Precision Acoustics hosted the SPL Competition while Street Force introduced the "Muffler King" competition which awarded prizes to the car with the highest exhaust dB level.
Competition on the 1320 was fierce as several drag-prepped Civics posted times in the low 13's and a few front-wheel-drive machines made it into the 12's. All in all, K Productions put on an interesting event, and we look forward to see what they can put together for next year.
