For the last fifty some odd years, the Speedorama
show of Toronto has
been a tradition that has surpassed the test of
time. This year's
edition was no different, as modern features were
brought in to put a
twist on an old formula.
Hosted at the prestigious National Trade Centre
of Toronto, on the
grounds of Toronto's Exhibition Place, Speedorama
showcased a wide
variety of modified vehicles ranging from monstrous
Peterbilt trucks to
zippy, sport compacts. With sponsors such as
Castrol, Canadian Tire
and Mopar on hand showing off their latest offerings,
visitors were
treated to the latest hardware available for
tuners today. As a main
attraction, 3 vehicles form the MTV hit show,
"Pimp My Ride" were
brought in by California's, West Coast Customs
including the awe
inspiring drop top, Chrysler 300C Coupe. Another
headliner was the
first Toronto debut of Keith Losier's highly
anticipated Saturn Ion
that took home "Best Domestic Car"
honours at the recent CES show in
Las Vegas. Look out for Keith's new ride to
be on the cover of an
upcoming PASMAG issue. Even the "Big Schwag"
from the "Monster Garage"
was on hand signing and greeting fans

Speedorama
may not be the most "niche"
style event in comparison to
some of the other events that have emerged
in the last few years, but
it certainly brings an element that the
other shows do not, history. A
good time for all in the middle of this
year's cold winter season and a
fantastic opportunity for a family outing,
Speedorama 2005 continues
the long standing tradition of what a
car show should always be about.
